Additional Info SCM/M/Spec/9 (16/01/1984) Minutes of the SCM Committee Meeting (18/11/1983) "The representative of Brazil said that the US complaint constituted the first case involving a developing country [under the SCM Code]. It should be, therefore, clear that it was addressedat two different countries and indeed there were two different cases. (…) As far as the complaint against Brazil was concerned he had very serious doubts whether the US complaint conformed with the Code. (...) [T]he Committee wished to reflect on the matter (…) in the meantime the Chairman will organize informal consultations with interested Signatories."SCM/M/Spec/10 (18/06/1984) Minutes of the SCM Committee Meeting (10/05/1984) "There have been two rounds of such informal consultations (...) [T]hese consultations should continue, at the informal level, and without prejudice to any legal positions delegations may have in the Committee."
